Salmon & Crab meat Bisque
Homemade bisque, finished with red amaranth micro leaves. Served with homemade Focaccia.
Scottish & Italian Board
A selection of Italian meats,  haggis polpette , roast figs & honey
Wedges of Taleggio cheese
Breaded & lightly fried. Served with a rocket & spinach salad with strawberry & chilli jam. Finished with a balsamic glaze.
Bubbling Pot Gambizo
King prawns, chorizo, rosemary, chilli & garlic. Served with mixed leaves & homemade focaccia.
Scallop & Black Pudding
Pan fried scallop. Stornoway black pudding, pancetta crisp, set on a pea puree

Handmade in-house. Scottish smoked haddock, salmon, leeks & spinach in a cream sauce. Finished with parmesan

Served on a thyme crostini, topped with chicken liver pate & a sweet marsala sauce fried potatoes
Risotto Giardino
Sautéed fresh garden greens, topped with pea shoots & parmesan shavings.
Finished with crispy hens egg
Poached breast of chicken
Stuffed with Sun blushed tomato, spinach, cream cheese & asparagus. Served with a champagne & saffron cream sauce & mashed potato.

A DESTINATION

The Rest since 1914 originally used as a resting (and courting) place for tram travellers. it was carefully restored with original material and brought back to his formal glory and now since 1994 is a continental/ Italian bistro. Marco Giannasi owner of the Battlefield Rest since opening in 1994. Catering for him is a way of life. With his experience and dedication he have built this restaurant in to a   well know and popular venue in Glasgow. Marco and his dedicated and professional staff give you a warm welcome in the near future!
